EDP T.I.P. Program Announces Evolvement

07/22/2014, 4:15pm EDT

Eastern Development Program (EDP) is pleased to announce that Peter Gooding will lead our Talent Identification Program  (TIP) and College Coach Committee.  Peter will be ably assisted by Scott Baker.

The EDP Executive Board and Board of Directors approved an "evolution" in our league mission to focus our youth development programs to support club based player development. This will be complimented by league programs that enhance the amount and quality of college placements for EDP players.

The league conducted a pilot project of the TIP program that was highly successful.  Based on review of the project results and extensive input from EDP clubs, we have reached consensus on our mission.  The program will continue to serve EDP boys and girls U11-U18.  Our goal is to complement our club efforts and enhance the path to college by positioning EDP as the first choice path for college coaches and college bound players.

As leader of the EDP  "TIP To College" program, Mr. Gooding will enforce the target elements of the program:

Direct the EDP College Coaches Committee. The objective is to align EDP programs to make EDP the first choice recruiting program.
Create and manage TIP to College programs.  The objective is to "evolve" our programs so that all we offer is a 1st choice path to college for clubs and their players.

Manage EDP's relationship with NSCAA to promote maximum benefit for both organizations.  Coordinate and grow NSCAA programs designed specifically for EDP.

Together, Peter and Scott will review the current programs and announce our "evolved" programs, committee work and a detailed calendar of events at the end of the summer.

Please welcome Peter to this new assignment and join me in wishing him all the best in this important endeavor.
