SJEB U16 Boys entered the US Club State Cup Super Group with only one goal to become State Cup Champions, after the first two round playing against Cherry Hill and Two stubborn Princeton teams we managed to progress the semifinals.

The Semi-Final game pitted us against Den of Lions who have always proven to be tough opponents was an edgey affair with SJEB going 1–0 up with a cool and calm penalty from Just Bilderback proving to be the winning goal, although Den of Lions did have a very spirited fight towards the end.

Final was against TSF who had already beaten us in the NPL league just a few weeks prior. TSF always give us very good games and this one was no different, both teams going at it, with strong challenges, goal attempts and lots of near misses, a thoroughly entertaining 0–0 draw at the final whistle, so on we went to over time. SJEB decided to be a little more defensive and try to counter attack but in the end the game had no goals as both teams couldn’t find the net.

Onto penalties, Justin went up first and once again very calm slotted home, TSF then had their effort brilliantly saved by Brady Hochman. As the PK’s went on SJEB were far more superior and ended up winning the US Club State Cup Super Group 3-1 on Penalites.
